MSL provide the following as standard for all support contracts:
- Initial site survey, documentation of equipment and software to be held by both parties.
- An engineer on site for 1 day for basic routine hardware and software maintenance (e.g. checking PCs for clogged or faulty cooling fans , cleaning out dust, checking Anti Virus software is healthy and Microsoft updates are installed).
- Email and telephone support.
- Remote control support. MSL have software which allows a support engineer to remotely control a PC to work through and fix a problem with the user. Please note that the connection can only be initiated by the end user and MSL cannot connect without the knowledge of the end user.
- Remote monitoring of servers to ensure that updates are applied if needed and the servers are performing optimally. This is usually performed outside office hours to ensure there is no impact to users.
- Addition of new users and removal of old users on the servers as needed.
- Support during office hours, 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday through to Friday.
- Support contracts for 12 months duration.
MSL provide the following additional support options:
- 24/7 Support if required.
- Program of IT development to ensure systems are kept optimised in both Hardware and Software.
- More frequent site visits.
- Basic training on IT systems.
- Provision of Hardware
Please note, inevitably as hardware (in particular PCs and printers) gets older it becomes more difficult to support. MSL have chosen to surcharge older hardware rather than increase the base cost for all customers. Additionally it is increasingly difficult to get spares for older equipment and generally more expensive than those for newer machines. MSL usually find that time (and therefore money) spent repairing hardware older than 3 years is better spent replacing hardware. The cost is often similar but the newer hardware is a faster more reliable option.

- Backup service and checks with complete disaster recovery and if necessary, bare metal recovery.
